Day out in Aguilas

Today we decided to travel to Aguilas, for a few reasons...I needed to purchase some resistance bands that were on sale today at Aldi, and Aguilas is the nearest branch. So once these were purchased it was onto the Saturday market, which is always a colourful affair.

The fruit and vegetable displays are simply breathtaking and I find it hard not to buy it all! There is definitely NO excuse for not eating healthier here!

Then we decided to ask the knife sharpener man to spruce up JD's old scout knife that we keep in the car for picnics etc. It was hilarious how he started up his moped engine to get his sharpening wheel spinning!

Then onto the Paseo Maritime to visit El Faro restaurant for lunch. A set 3 course meal for 20€...

Aguilas is a very pretty town and the beach area on a sunny day is fantastic. Old guys were playing boules on the beach in the warm afternoon sunshine, it was great to watch for a while..

Then onto the harbour/marina area which was quiet for a Saturday afternoon..

A stroll around the centre of Aguilas and it was back to the car for our journey back to Mojacar.

All in all a very enjoyable day, and the forecast for tomorrow is for an even warmer, sunnier day..what can I say!!!

Back again tomorrow, so until then....xx
